Who can justify God?

I wrote this to a kid that is not a believer. He asked to have Exodus 32 justified. Who can justify God?

I'm not sure what you want justified. Why are you disappointed with this? There is a lot going on. I guess you would know that the Israelites are God's chosen people. He's set them apart. I'm not sure how that will all play out in the end. But he considers them special. He also uses them to teach the gentiles,ie us. Moses is a representation of Christ by helping them escape Egypt. So anyway, Obviously he has gone up on the MT to talk with God. God has often referred to the Israelites as sheep. Because they will follow anything. Even though life sucked for them in Egypt, they wanted to hold on to things they were accustomed to. Generations had grown up in Egypt. So it makes sense that they would want to worship other Gods. They did not know the God of Moses. They were just being sheep and had a lot to learn. That's why they were in the desert for so long. 40 years. Remember too they had been slaves. They did not know what it was to be free. That time in our own history has always interested me. I remember reading once,I think in Fredric Douglas biography, that when people became free, many remained and worked as share croppers for the people that had enslaved them because they did not know any different. So it's the same with our sin. We and I'm referring to myself as well, don't know to be any different. They became impatient and made their idol. So many people are skeptics about Jesus returning because it hasn't happened yet. God needs to prove himself. (even though he doesn't need to sometimes he does) Our world is choosing to worship Obama, the Earth, ourselves, many other things. God says before he comes again things like this will happen. As well as natural disasters, disease that can't be healed people running around doing what every they want with no moral compass,Earth and atmospheric changes, stuff like that. He said this would happen so that people would know and turn to Him. The same with the Israelites. He gave them the law so that he could show them who he was. In their disobedience,he became very angry with them and wanted to take them out. I've wondered why he did not just do that when he had the flood. Or really any other time. He's God and can wipe everything clean with just a thought. But doesn't. Ya know Aaron was the first priest the Jews had. And he screwed up big time. All This stuff happened just a few days after God had spoken directly to them. It just goes to show how quickly we can turn from God. It's a reminder even to myself. When Moses discovers this he realizes how grave of a thing (literally) it was for them to be doing what they were doing. Granted, Moses basically saw God and hung out with him for a while. So he knew what everyone else was going to miss out on. And because he had experienced God,it really pissed him off that they did what they did. That's why when he went down the mountain he threw down the tablets. Moses wanted to know who the instigators were and singled them out. It seems absurd that he would have the Levites kill everyone else because of their sin. But that is the depth of how bad sin is. Sin is death. God remained angry with them. and still wanted to wipe them out. But because of Moses pleadings,He didn't. Just like Christ intercedes for us
